About Falcon Finance
Falcon Finance is a universal collateral infrastructure in DeFi. Its core business allows users to deposit various assets—stablecoins, major cryptos like BTC and ETH, altcoins, and tokenized real-world assets (RWA)—as collateral to mint USDf, an overcollateralized synthetic dollar. Users can then stake USDf to earn sUSDf, a yield-bearing token that accrues value from delta-neutral strategies, funding rates, and RWA income. This dual-token design separates stability from yield generation.
The market pain point it addresses is the trade-off in traditional stablecoins and DeFi lending: assets are either locked up without yield, or yield is unsustainable and reliant on inflationary token emissions. Falcon Finance aims to solve this by creating a universal collateral engine that connects on-chain assets with off-chain RWA, providing a more sustainable yield source and improving capital efficiency.
In the past six months (2026-02-28 to 2026-08-28), Falcon Finance has focused on expanding its RWA integration. A notable development was the launch of a regulated RWA tokenization channel in El Salvador in August 2026, enabling the issuance of tokenized GPU forward instruments. This initiative uses El Salvador's digital asset regulatory framework to bring institutional-grade assets on-chain, while allowing secondary trading on permissionless venues like Uniswap. This move represents a step toward bridging regulated issuance with open DeFi liquidity, though it also raises questions about cross-border compliance and investor protection.
Falcon Finance, as a universal collateral infrastructure, has gone through several key milestones with long-term significance. It secured a $10 million strategic investment, providing essential capital for expanding multi-asset collateral support and RWA integration. Its stablecoin USDf experienced a slight depeg event, which tested the protocol's risk management capabilities under market stress and highlighted the importance of its over-collateralization design. The launch of an off-chain Bitcoin yield vault, with expected annualized returns of 3%-5%, broadened yield generation beyond traditional stablecoin strategies. Additionally, Binance's postponement of the FF listing affected short-term market liquidity expectations, while subsequent listings on Bitget and MEXC, along with whale deposits into exchanges, reflected ongoing market pricing and liquidity dynamics for the FF token. These events collectively shaped the protocol's trajectory in the competitive stablecoin and DeFi landscape.
Positive:
In April, TSLAon was integrated as collateral for minting USDf; in August, a regulated RWA pipeline in El Salvador was launched, issuing the first GPU forward (NEAR AI as anchor buyer), which can later serve as collateral. USDf collateralization ratio rose from 110.82% to 141.6%, reserves are sufficient, and sUSDf offers 4.51% APY. Buyback-and-burn continues but with limited scale.
Negative:
Token supply pressure is high: 3.1 billion circulating vs 10 billion total, about two-thirds unlocked, with buybacks offsetting only a small portion. GPU forwards face delivery, utilization, and technology obsolescence risks. The price has risen sharply short-term, trading 34% above the 20-day average, inviting pullback risk.
